In the Zamaretto League Division One Central on Tuesday night, second-placed Arlesey Town scored three times in the second half to record a 4-1 home win over Rugby Town and send the visitors tumbling three places to eighth.

Aston Goss gave the home side an early 8th minute lead that Paddy Connolly cancelled out just before half time. But Marc Leach restored Arlesey`s lead four minutes into the second half from the penalty spot and then James Gray on 61 and new signing Chris Dillon on 67 minutes made it 4-1. Daventry Town, two ahead at half time through James Blake and Howard Forinton, needed to score two late goals from Aaron Parkinson and Josh O`Grady to complete a 4-2 home win against Ashford Town (Middx) - a victory which took them into third place and play-off contention. Aylesbury moved up to sixth place when a goal in each half from Glen Hawkins and Jack Thomson gave them a 2-0 home win over Barton Rovers, while Marlow completed a comfortable 3-0 home win against North Greenford United with goals from Adam Dickens, a Chris Hibbs own goal and Nathan Ashton. Uxbridge netted five times after the break through top scorer Chris Moore with two, Dave Thomas, Craig Tompkins and Kevin Warner to inflict a 5-1 defeat on their visitors, third from bottom Soham Town Rangers, while bottom club AFC Hayes registered a resounding 6-2 home win over Atherstone Town to draw level on points with their closest rivals. Mark Woods and Kevin Chakaodza both bagged braces, Javier Catlyn and Terry Smith singles. The only game in Division One Central on Wednesday night saw Bedfont Town, two ahead just after half time, score a third in time added on to secure a 3-1 home win over Northwood, who had reduced the arrears with five minutes remaining. Carl McCluksey after 32 minutes and Reis Stanislous on 49 had given the home side their two-goal cushion that Scott Orphanou reduced.
