Southam Colts, Warwick School, Warwickire U18's, England U18's + U20's, Worcester Academy and now a full Worcester player

Jamie played for Southam Colts, Worcester Acdemy and attended Warwick school and was in the same Full Warwickshire county side u18s 2014 as Finn Toner and James Lloyd both also Southam Colts.

Jamie is a local Southam lad and could very often be found down the club when he had a spare minute, with his father, sister and anyone else who would kick the ball back to him whilst practicing his kicking skills, his dedication to rugby was second to none.

Jamie was selected from the county side to represent Midlands and did so through the championship campaign and from here gained further recognition to gain an international cap and represent his country England counties U18s in a triangular tournament against both France and Ireland winning both games.

Jamie was then selected to play for England full honours at u19s/20s level against France where he played the second half scoring England's only try in there defeat.

Jamie continued to work hard with his rugby, although his A level exams were looming and his dedication paid off when he got the call from Worcester Warriors full team, whilst still at school to be in the team for the championship play off semi final against London Scottish at six ways this made him to the youngest player to ever play in the championship at 17yrs and 280 days a fantastic achievement.

Things never stopped there for him, he then was part of the full team who played Bristol in the Final, where Worcester won the first game 29-28 at Bristol of course this was the day he had his History A level exam in the morning and played in the evening, no pressure then. Worcester then drew the 2nd game at six ways 30-30 gaining Worcester promotion to the premiership for 2015-16, I had the pleasure of being there and watching, but anyone who follows rugby will tell you both games of rugby had to be seen to be believed, as they were a perfect advert for championship rugby.

After this Jamie had the perfect present and this was to sign a full time professional contract for Worcester, where he now is playing and working extremely hard to hopefully be playing in the premiership this season.

As said before his dedication to the game both 15 a side and 7s is second to none and it has just been announced that he has been selected for England 7s to play in the youth commonwealth games in Samoa travelling out on the 31st August returning 15th September and lets not forget this is all in one season.

Myself ex teammates the club wish him all the best for the future and hopefully soon I will have a few of his shirts for the club.

Thanks

Dan Winfield
