The fitness of some players left some questions unanswered by the distinguished supporters including
Rob and Mike Swain, Kevin Boualt, RJ Barnes, Gordon Bartlet, Dave Adams, Tim Riley, Tony Cador and John Strike.

At half time we had a lead of 19-0 with tries from Alex "the whizz" Scott and two from Jasper, a Belgian bloke someone
brought down for a game.
The BBC did cover the game and Inverdale, Guscott, Woodward and Wilkinson had much to discuss around the rugby ball shaped table located by the doors to the toilets.
After the break there were tries from Ian Budd, lethal with the ball over 3 metres and Eric Johnson who used his weight advantage to crash through 3 players from 5 metres out.
John Scarbro came very close to scoring out wide when he got the ball with ten metres to go and only the full back coming across to defend. Deciding not to pass to Alex Scott outside him went himself but ran out of petrol and was tackled one metre short before the knocking the ball on. White Line Fever eh John.
Phil Trant showed us how its still possible to be active at 83 and had a great half.

Most were glad to hear the final whistle as fitness levels were dropping fast by then.

All stayed for a few beers and a meal after the game while the Wales/France game played on the TV.
On behalf of those who attended, A big thank you to Terry Collingwood and Mark Mauger for organising the
match and John Strike for the food.
