On what was a chilly Saturday morning at the Garrison ground soon turned in to a red hot display of almost exhibition football by Southampton Saints U11`s
With the league title wrapped up last week and no pressure Saints took control of this game with real style, composure and flair in a manner you would expect from a much higher age group.
Before Widbrook could settle Saints were in front on 4 minutes as Libby O`Dell
volleyed home a Beth Wilcock corner.
Libby then turned provider on 8 minutes for Saints skipper Abbie Lee
to double Saints advantage.
It was three after 10 minutes as Libby grabbed her second shooting home after a scramble in the Widbrook penalty area.
Saints were firing on all cylinders but Fraya Long in the visitors goal was outstanding pulling off many a save.
Beth Wilcock was next up on the score sheet as she fired in a Faith Wood
corner who was giving Widbrook a torrid time with her pace down the right.
The 14th minute saw Abbie grab her second and Saints fifth after a great cross from Chloe Davey.
The best move of the game with six or seven quality moves saw Faith Wood
bag herself a well deserved goal.
On 19 minutes Saints soared in to a seven goal lead as Abbie thumped the ball home for her hat-trick from a Faith cross.

The second half started as the first finished with constant Southampton pressure and Abbie notched her fourth and Saints eighth after Eleanor Elsey who was causing concern for Widbrook down the left flank delivered a cross for Abbie to score off her body.
Two minutes later Eleanor finished Saints scoring rout as she stroked the ball home from distance and an angle.
Widbrook continued to defend in heroic fashion with first half keeper Long now reverting to an outfield position and blocking many Saints goal bound efforts.
Saints best remaining chance fell to Abbie who headed against the bar only to see it cleared.
