The ground itself is a very safe and friendly site bordered on all four sides by trees, creating a very enclosed environment which is perfect for generating a bit of match-day atmosphere.
The recreation ground also has great facilities for children and family members and will prove a great venue for summer Rugby League - bring your family, they'll love it!

Station Road has a number of amenities close by, there is a corner shop 100 yards from the pavilion, on Queen's View. There are several local pubs and social clubs and there is a co-op quater of a mile from the ground.
There is also a train station, which is on the mainline between Southampton and Portsmouth. Netley Station is situated less than half a mile from the entrance to the ground. Trains run approximately hourly.
