With the newly established merger between Cardiff City RL & Cardiff Spartans RL, the juniors look to bring the curtain down in style in 2015

Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.
- Jason Coleman, Club Chairman

With the Cardiff Spartans & Cardiff City RL sharing a vision and legacy to secure and safeguard the future of rugby league in the capital, the current junior champions are looking to defend their title to bring the curtain down in 2015 in style.

With much work going on in the background both junior and senior staff are working hard to make the transition from 2015 into 2016 as smooth and successful as possible.

With much hard work, 2016 will be looking to reveal a complete new setup under Cardiff City Rugby League with junior age grades from 12-16, an academy, a senior side playing in a merit league, a senior side playing in the Welsh Conference, building towards teams also competing in the National South Conference, and the aspiration of a Championship One outfit, all forecast over the next three to four years.

With the senior outfit playing out of Cardiff Arms Park the vision is to emulate and surpass the semi-professional rugby league clubs of yesteryear that have played out of the capital.

With an already successful pre-season underway the seniors are off to a positive start with a number of friendlies already played in pursuit of the selection process for the proposed teams.

At the junior section it has also been busy with the assembling of a new coaching team. 2015 will deliver opportunities for new coaching roles, and opportunities for volunteers to aid in the community project.

No club is complete without the special ones that do all the little things nobody sees, that helps with the efficient running of a sports club.
