The South Devon Youth League recently held their awards evening at the Grand Hotel, Torquay where South Devon CC U13s picked up their trophies for finishing as runners up in their division.

There was extra cause for celebration for the age group as Emily Martin was named as “batter of the year”. Emily, who also played for the South Devon’s Second XI, made it a family double as her father, Jon, collected the Gary Bowles Trophy as the First XI’s leading wicket taker at South Devon’s CC senior awards evening.

Emily is pictured with her teammates who are flanked on the left by Chris Hart who is managing partner of Wollen Michelmore the League sponsors. On the right is Somerset CCC all-rounder Peter Trego who made the presentations.
