Going into last game of season I really would like to sign off with a good performance and a win. January feels like a long time ago now but I think the boys have responded well and achieved our goal of staying up. We have a good group of players that want to succeed and improve and I know some will go and play higher.

I would like to thank the players firstly they have done everything asked of them. We have grown as a group and I'm already looking forward to the new season. The average age of the squad is around 20 and playing in the Essex senior league and being competitive just shows the good position we are in. I'm looking forward to pre season training on the 18 June2016.

Secondly the staff they have been fantastic and I think they have enjoyed the last 5 months as much as me. We have had ups and downs but we have all stuck together and it's been a pleasure.

The committee have backed me totally since day 1 and always tried to meet our requirements and I'm glad for them that Southend Manor remain a senior club next season.

Big thanks to Steve Robinson in giving us the chance to manage Manor and thanks for backing us.

I'm sure we have disappointed people by achieving our goal and I'm sure more people take note of Southend Manor results more than ever before.
