South Leicester RFC is One of Leicestershire's leading junior rugby club with our 1st XV currently playing at National League 3 Midlands.
South are the 2011 Senior County Cup, having won in 2009 & 2008. South Veterans are the 2011 County Cup winners, having also won in 2010, 2009 & 2008. The second team play in Leicestershire Premier, having won this title in 2008 & 2007. Our third team play in Leicestershire 1, following two successive promotions in 2008 & 2007. Our Colts won the 2008 County cup.
South pride ourselves on the quality of our senior coaching team made up of two former Leicester Tigers, Steve Booth and Ian 'Dosser' Smith. Senior training nights are Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm.
South run Mini and junior sides at all age groups from under 7 to under 17 and welcome new members at all times. Our juniors train on Wednesdays from 6.30pm and our minis play or train every Sunday morning from 10.00.
South have three full size playing pitches, one with flood lights for training and games. An extension to the club house in 2010 has increased the size of the 6 changing rooms which offer integral showers and baths
A large Licensed bar and Lounge area with a capacity of 120 people, plus catering facilities completes the club house
