It is with great sadness that The Club has to advise you of the death of John Gunby , who sadly passed away last night/this morning the 21st March following an operation at LRI.

John was appointed Club Secretary in 1971, a position he held for 8 years, also Club Chairman in 1981, a position he held for 14 years and Club President in 1995, a position he held for 3 years

John was a long standing member of the club and made a Life Member in 1981 for his outstanding work and commitment to the club

Funeral on thursday 2nd April, 3pm at Countesthorpe crematorium and afterwards at South Leicester RFC
