The end of another hard season

South on top of the County, with both the U17 and 1st xv County Cup winners for 2014

The National 3 League has been the toughest so far, with South 1st finishing a creditable 6th place, followed by our 2nd & 3rd teams who without doubt gave a 100% in a green and white shirt every week, regardless of the opposition

Next year will see the U16 & U17 join together and come through to play as the Colts side. This will be a massive boost for the senior section of the club and is the result of 10 years hard work by the MJ section, who have looked after these lads along the way

The National 3 League for next year won't be finalised for a number of weeks, however we do know we have a number of new sides coming in next year - Bromsgrove, Dudley, Peterborough Lions, Lichfield and one of Burton/Derby are all confirmed with others maybe to follow.
The intention is for the 2xv to keep playing in the Leicestershire Leagues, while the 3rd xv are hoping to play a mix of old and new, young and old on a Saturday afternoon

At the men’s dinner, the club continues to present players with 1st,colts and club ties along with the player’s player awards, which went to Chris Bale and Seb Green, well done to both

A big thank you to the team of physio’s that kept our players fit, Speedo (Steve), Hanna and Emma, along with our coaching staff of Leon, Paul, Holf and Tebbo.

A massive thanks must also go to the Saturday team, who provide the food and drink every Saturday for the players and supporters alike

Pre-season will begin in July, so enjoy the summer. All welcome

Lets not forget the Club work parties, dates to be announced soon, this is the ideal opportunity to give a little back to the club and help with the summer spring clean, ready for the new season

A number of South 1st team will be playing county rugby, with a potential crunch game v Warwickshire held at Hinckley RFC on the 17th May, all support welcome
