It was not a good day for the leading clubs in the Black Dragon South Division, leaders South Normanton could only draw with the bottom club Kimberley Town, ‘The Stags’ held their hosts to a 1-1 draw, only their second point of the season.
Adam Whitehouse gave Kimberley the lead in the tenth minute, Adam Nicholls replying for South Normanton five minutes later.
An encouraging result for the visitors.
Second in the table Sutton Town AFC crashed to a 6-1 defeat at Bilborough Pelican.
The home team who dominated the game, scored through Liam Dirs, Ian Foss and David Udal who hit four.
Jay Townie was the Sutton scorer.
Third placed Newark Town where without a game.
Wins for the fourth and fifth placed clubs.
Fourth placed Basford United got the better of Belper United; the home team won 2-1 after being a goal down at half time.
Mark Brewster scored for Belper.

Pinxton won convincingly 5-0 at Nottinghamshire Police.
Wayne Cook led the way scoring a hat trick, Ben Bacon and Elliott Jones scored the other goals for the Derbyshire club.
Two goals by Craig Gould ensured the points for Blidworth Welfare, away to Clifton.

Have Calverton Miners Welfare turned the corner, the Nottinghamshire club registered their first win of the season last Saturday and followed that result up, with another win 2-1 at Nottingham United.
The home team led 1-0 at half time with a goal by Mark Walters but Calverton took control after the interval and goals by Luke Wilson-Green and Dan Hogg, who scored the winner in the last minute, ensured maximum points for the second from bottom club.
