The 1st XV will be in action on Saturday taking on Littleborough* in Cup competition and the junior and mini sections will be back on Sunday morning for the first of their registration days.

The ladies are also in action on Sunday when they welcome several ladies sides to compete in a round robin 10`s tournament at the club. There are 6 sides expected to be involved including local rivals Ormskirk, Preston Grasshoppers and Liverpool Collegiate. Along with sides from further afield Handsworth and Kendal and of course Southport.

This will be a great chance to see how the ladies have come on since the end of last season and with the return to action of some players missing from last season in addition to several new (and not so new!) faces the team are looking forward to improving on last years performance.

So why not come down Sunday and cheer on the new look ladies side. Matches are due to start @ 13:00 and the bar/clubhouse will be open throughout the afternoon.

*In fact it might be Didsbury Toc H RUFC not Littleborough - apparently the cup status of the respective clubs following last seasons league placings has been reviewed. Either way nothing to do with Southport and we will be delighted to host whoever at 3pm on Saturday. Hopefully the sun shinest on the clubhouse terrace finest!
