31/3/12 Spartans 7 v Selston 1 (KO cup Semi Final)
Having gone out of one trophy to a team from Division 2 already this season, there was an air of caution as the Tans welcomed one of the top teams from the second tier. It didn’t start well as Max was taken to hospital with a broken hand sustained during the warm up. In the game the Tans got off to a good start with goals from Harry, Mini, Brad and Charlie (courtesy of the extremely dubious goals committee) and went in at half time four goals to the good. The second half saw further goals as James went on a scoring spree by bagging a hat-tick and missing a penalty. All told the boys fully deserved their victory and a cup final at Field Mill beckons.
