Hi Ken

Here's the match report from Sunday, apologies, one or two key points missing.

Not sure of the final score, think it was 0 .v. 14 but I was not there at the end when Steve confirmed with WB

Not sure if Kaitlyn is spelt correctly, and sorry can't remember who was girl of the game, it was a bit unclear at the end of the match





Sadly another heavy defeat for the under 11’s, this time at the hands of the very good West Bridgford side. Southwell were missing a couple three key players this week, with Philipa and Katie unavailable it was left to Selina to step into the goal keeper’s shoes. Selina grew in confidence throughout the match, but sadly again the girls were out played in most areas of the pitch. Goals came from most chances, and included well executed crosses, touched in by perfectly positioned Bridgford players, from set piece corner play and by Bridgford capitalising on every mistake Southwell made.

However, Charlotte did well and continually chased back to support Daisy and Gabriella in defence and once again Esther ran and ran end to end to try and make the best of the few chances Southwell had. Kaitlyn brought new strength to the team and continually tackled well, and Amy chased and won balls going forward, sadly it was just not enough. To their credit, the Southwell girls never seem too disheartened for long, and bounce back ready for the next match. Without doubt the team are improving, hopefully they are also learning from the better teams they are playing.
