Southwick started well and within a few minutes had started attacking the Middleton goal. They opened their scoresheet when Clare drove a hard pass into the 'D' for Emma to produce one of her 'magical' touches to put the ball into the back of the net. Southwick settled into good team passing and were rewarded with 3 more goals in the first half, 2 from Sarah from short corners and 1 from Ria in open play.

The second half saw a slow start by Southwick and Middleton managed to win several short corners. However, the Southwick defence were up to the challenge and cleared the ball away each time to produce another attack at the other end. This set up the team again to score 2 more goals, particularly after Clare's rousing "Southwick the next goal is ours !! " - 1 from Emma at close range and another successful short corner routine scrambled home by Clare. A lovely shot from Ria from the edge of the circle finished off the scoring after great team passing starting from the opposing circle.

Pom was Emma and well deserved in a great game.
