A letter sent last week to Piers Currie:
Dear Southwold Minis Chairman,
After much deliberation I am delighted to say that Southwold RFC were voted as being the club that visited our festival that most displayed the qualities the rugby community expects from a participating side. All our coaches witnessed examples of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship from not only the players but coaches and parents alike.
We as a club want to promote such behaviours and so do our sponsors. Because of this our friends at Xplore kindly donate a most generous prize to reward the club that comes out on top at our festival. George Yardley and his team would be delighted if your club would join them on a team building fun day at their site near Stowmarket – a prize worth nearly £3000. Secondly you also get a guaranteed place at our festival next year – we’d always want back the team that wins such an accolade. Finally we’d like to invite you down to a senior 1st team home game to present the trophy and prize personally.
Congratulations again and best regards
Olly Jackson
