A very enjoyable day was had by all who attended the Golf Day at Spalding Golf Club on Thursday 25th May.

On Thursday 25th May, Spalding Rugby Club held a very successful golf day at Spalding Golf Club on Thursday 25th May. It was a glorious day with the sun beating down on the 76 golfers that took part in a Pairs Betterball competition. This was followed by an excellent dinner and the prize presentations at the Golf Club in the evening.

The event was extremely well supported by local businesses, particularly T C Harrison, Ford Spalding who were the main sponsors for the day, who not only took part, but also sponsored individual holes.

The overall winners were Graham Middleton and Mark Pannell (pictured with Frank Martino and Ray Harrison (centre)) who took away the Brian Saville Cup. Millie Thorold and John Camm came is as the Mixed Pairs winners.

The winner of the President’s Putting Competition, winning a bottle of champagne was Howard Greaves, sinking three puts in 6 holes

Michael Thompson had an outstanding afternoon claiming nearest the pin on both the 9th and 11th holes with John Beba claiming the honours on the 16th hole.

We would like to thank all the local business sponsors and Spalding Golf Club as well as the participants for helping us to make it a very enjoyable, successful day raising approximately £2,000 towards the New Ground Development costs.
