The photo attached to this article fails to prove conclusive proof as to who scored the Tulips solitary goal in the 1-3 defeat at home to Leek Town last weekend.
Some gave it to Ben Davison (a tad over-generous that one!), others to Ellis Humble, most credited it as an OG - regardless of who got their head/shoulder/back to the ball, it mattered little on the day as the Tulips came up short, jiggered as they must have been after mammoth efforts on the road in the three games preceeding Saturday's defeat - efforts which resulted in a good gathering of points and, with it, Step 4 security for next season: Bravo!
Management will be looking for the team to end the season with a flourish and if at least a point can be secured tonight at Sheffield FC (KO: 7.45pm), the Tulips will go into their final match at Lincoln United on Saturday 28th April full of vim & vigour - and a fair smattering of optimisim - confident that they can sign off from 2017/18 with a win.
A full Review Of The Season will follow at the appropriate time, after shin-pads, kit-bags, linament oil and tape has been cleared away once and for all.
Here's hoping the Tulips get a positive result tonight and end the season in as high a position as possible - anything above their current 12th place in the NPL Evo-Stik South would be considered by most to be a huge success, all things considered...
