Sporting Widnes 3 AFC Rec 3

all square at Wilmere thanks to a controversial decision...

In a game were two home town rivals locked horns for the first time this season, it made for a fully enthralling game.

Rec went 1-0 up as there main man Darbodinho used some invidual skill to get away from the defence and slot home.

10 minutes later we equalized when new signing Jay Hibbert fed in that man Nathan Clare with a brilliant left foot finish. We then went 2-1 not long after the break when Mikey welburn looking ever so energetic since he packed in the weed, found himself in the box and was brought down. Kenny Martin dispatched the penalty.

Rec found an equaliser of their own through Paul Travis after he play a neat 1 2 with Darbodinho.

We took the lead again when Ste 'Makalele' Ball played a divine pass to Nathan Clare who fed new boy Jay Hibbert to slot home. 3-2 Swids.

The game ended a bit sour for us as we were closing out the game 3-2 winner rec equalised through dubious circumstances. Travis had a shot from 20 yards and smashed it horribly wide, however the ref pulled it back and gave them a freekick as he when striking the ball Kenny martin shouted "He's missed it!" . They chipped the ball in from the resulting freekick and got an equaliser to make it 3-3.
