JUNIORS: A look back at this weekends fixtures from our Junior Teams.

2 months ago By Mark Ashmore

Table topping, high goal scoring, unbeaten starts and new leagues. Here's this weeks junior roundup.

We Start in the Blackpool and District Youth Football League with our Under 15’s Red’s who sit at the top of the table after an unbeaten start to their league campaign. Sunday saw them make it three wins from three games with a 3-1 home win against FC Rangers Blues on Collins Park. A top corner freekick the highlight! (Which you can see on our Twitter account, well worth a watch) Kirkham Junior Reds are hot on the heals of the Reds with nine points also, though they have played a game more which they lost.

Also riding high near the top of the league are the Titan’s. Emily’s side currently sit second in the Poulton District Under 15’s Championship. This past Sunday they picked up their 2nd draw of the season at home to Wyre Juniors 3-2. The Titan’s won the reverse fixture 3-2 earlier last month. A 6-6 draw and a 5-3 would suggest plenty of action from Emily’s side!

Our Under 15’s are still adapting to life in a tough Junior Premier League Division. Olly’s side sit 6th in the league and have won just one game from four games. The first win of the season came this on the 29th when two goals from James Bradley and one from Imaan Husain helped them to a 3-0 win against Baguley Athletic Academy.

Another side looking find their rhythm are our Under 14's. Currently sitting 4th in the Poulton District Under 14's Premier, they've won two of their opening five games. They didn't have a league game this past weekend but they Sunday before lost 4-2 away at Clifton Rangers.

Our new Under 16’s side are also hot on the tail at the top of the table sitting in 2nd in the Poulton District Under 16’s Championship. They sit on 13 points from 6 games and picked up their fourth win of the season beating Layton Juniors 9-0 though this was last weekend. Big wins against Kirkham Juniors (8-1), Fleetwood Town (4-2) and St Annes (4-2) have helped a promising start from the Under 16’s.
