Gate return to Blackpool to face AFC Darwen Tuesday night, after beating Hanley Town 1-0 on Saturday, Gate are looking to go ten games unbeaten.

Last time out
Gate made it nine games unbeaten on Saturday with an impressive 1-0 win over Hanley Town.
Gate could have opened the scoring ten minutes into the first half with some clever football. Gary Pett laying the ball back to Dean Ing from Ryan Charnley's cross but Ing's shot could only find Pett and didn't test the keeper.

Gary Pett then got in two good attacking positions for Gate. First he beat the offside trap but could only fire wide when he got into the box, then he headed a corner back into the box but nobody in Blue could meet the header.

The visitors had a good chance after 30 minutes but Thompson's knockdown could only fall to Gate's keeper.

Gate would finally make the break through after 51 minutes. Ryan Charnley’s shot falling to Max Rothwell who made no mistake to stroke the ball past the keeper to give Gate the lead.

Another end to end moment saw both teams go close in a short space of time. First Gate denied Hanley with a fine save before both Ryan Charnley and Dean Ing were denied by two great saves.

Scott Harries went close with one of Gates last chances of the second half, but his shot was well saved by the Hanley keeper.

The Away Team
AFC Darwen come into this game 23rd in the league having not won any of their last six games. This season they've won three of their thirty seven games, losing twenty seven and drawing six games.

Darwen's last game saw them lose 8-0 away at City of Liverpool. Goals from Anthony Brown, David Forbes, John McGrath and Jack Hazlehurst gave the home side a 4-0 lead at half time. Further goals in the second half from Thomas Peterson x2, Anthony Brown and John McGrath sealed the big win.

The form table for AFC Darwen looks like LLLLLL placing them 23rd in the form table. The losses came against Hanley Town, 1874 Northwich, Widnes, Northwich Victoria, Abbey Hey and City of Liverpool.

Last Time We Met
The two sides last met back in September when Gate picked up our first win of the season.
Gate took a very early lead in the game after just two minutes when Dean Ing glanced in a header from Mike Hall's freekick.

Gate had to be alert throughout the rest of the game to preserve their lead but held on for what was a massive win for Danny Penswick's men.
