Sadly though the decision was made at Tuesday's committee meeting after consultation with the grounds team that the pitch wouldn't be ready for that date.

This due in the main to a break in at the club last Monday night where someone put the nets back up and played themselves a game of football putting the regrowth of the pitch back at least two weeks, particularly in the goal mouth of one of the goals.

The club would like to reiterate it's sincere apologies to all at Nantwich Town and wish manager Dave Cooke and his team the best of luck in there 2018/19 Evo Stick Premier Division campaign.

Manager Andy Clarkson's men will return on Tuesday 26th June in preparation for our first pre-season friendly which is against Bamber Bridge on Tuesday 14th July, kick off 7:45pm.
