After last weekend’s emphatic win at Uttoxeter our attention this weekend is on close neighbours Cannock. The away fixture of this game proved to be a huge match with the sides not able to be separated in a rare draw. Saturday’s game takes on the additional dimension of being a semi-final for the county cup which has been impossible to schedule for any other time due to various weekends lost to snow

With the two top teams in the league playing each other it is difficult to overplay the importance of this game in our season. The players and coaches have worked incredibly hard this season to build from the disappointments of last year. The overall fitness of the players has improved significantly under the supervision of Callum Heeney, with the commitment of Darren and the other coaches to improving our playing abilities has been clear for all to see.

We really need all the support we can get this weekend as we aim to reach our first cup final in many years and continue our focus on gaining promotion. Please make every effort to come down to the club for this massively important game.
