Friday 5th February saw the return of the Rugby Club Quiz; with Bob Hobbs in the chair as quizmaster it was always going to be a night of fun and brain teasing questions. There were great raffle prizes on offer donated by Asset Solutions, Churchill Pottery, Slater’s Brewery, I-Motion Gym, Dave Ainge and Steve Bicknell. The quiz stretched the knowledge of even the most erudite of competitors, but Tim Woolman, Carl Williams and Pete Walker spearheaded a campaign which saw them emerge victorious as the winning team. The evening proved to be a roaring success with organiser Clare Arnold collecting over £120 for the RFU Injured Players foundation. Massive thanks must go out to Clare & Bob for organising an entertaining evening for such a worthy cause … any late donations always welcome!

March sees Pete Walker and Carl Williams swapping places as they host the next quiz in aid of Katherine House Hospice, more details to be posted closer to the time.
