Lammas lose local derby cup match in a well contested match against Bedfont Sports.

Tuesday night saw us travel to Bedfont Sports in the Premiere cup, the game was good to watch and both sides played played decent football on a very good pitch.

Sports took the lead in the first 10 minutes, a well taken free kick from 35 yards out beat keeper Liam Stone, Lammas equalised through Tony Hadley and then Sports took the lead after an error from Stone in the Lammas goal when he was beat by a long range free kick.

In the second half the Lammas would be right to feel a little bit robbed, a Sports defender clearly handled the ball in the area, but the ref did not award a penalty, then Sports scored a third after being a good yard or two off side, saying that it was a good finish by a very impressive number 10.

Despite the defeat, the Lammas can take a lot of positives from the game, our fitness levels are improving and the possession when we had the ball was very good.

This Saturday we face Chessington and Hook at home in the CCL Div 1.
