Lammas go top with away day win at Epsom.

Great start to the season!

Yesterday Staines Lammas FC secured our second away win of the season with a convincing 0-2 away win against Epsom Athletic making it 10 points from a possible 12 in our opening 4 games.

The first pleasing thing about yesterday was the pitch at Chessington, a pitch that has had its critics over the years was yesterday in great shape, and it helped the Lamnas as we like to get the ball down and play.

We started the game on the front foot and were in control for most of the game, our goal keeper Kyle was hardly tested all game, with the gaffer away on his holidays, young Jake Bessent took over the reigns and did a great job, back to the game and the Lammas were winning the battles and starting to make chances, Ross Nunn who was playing up top due to George Olulode being injured and out for a few weeks, went close after good work from Tommy Hayden, Tom Chisholm was his usual self bossing the midfield and Josh Guichard was on fine form next to him and it was Guichard who opened the scoring with a tidy finish from 6 yards out.

1-0 half time.

In the second half the Lammas continued to dominate but couldn't find our second goal until the last minute of the game, Kenny Attafah sliding the ball home after great work by man of the match Josh Guichard.

So another great 3 points on the road for the Lammas and on this coming Bank holiday Monday, Kick Off 11:30 am we welcome Sheerwater FC to the Lucan Pavilion for our fifth game of the season.

Final score Epsom Athletic 0-2 Staines Lammas.

P.s Don't mention Mark Goff's miss from a yard out
