Sandhurst 2-6 Staines Lammas

Adam Bessents men continued where they left off last week with a very comprehensive victory against Sandhurst Town, the Lammas dominated the play from start to finish and took 0-1 lead through Kai Francis who finished off a great move with an excellent finish from 12 yards out on 9 minutes.

Ross Nunn scored his second goal for the Lammas after a terrifically worked goal by the Lammas after a great move started by Shane O Conell and Max Samyint who found Ross Nun who delightfully lifted the ball over the keeper to make it 0-2, Lammas nearly made it 0-3 but we're thwarted by the bar after Man Of The Match Kelvin Keranja drilled the ball towards the goal and Matt Holliday smashed a volley against the wood work.

0-2 Half Time.

The second half started with the Lammas still on top and KK was creating havoc down the wing and after 48 minutes KK was taken down in the box, he duly picked himself up dusted himself off and slotted the ball in the bottom Left hand corner of the net to make it 0-3.

Lammas continued to cause Sandhurst problems and soon made it 0-4 through Ross Nunn who broke away from the Sandurst defence and dispatch the ball into the net at the second attempt after a good save from the Sandhurst keeper.

Lammas didn't take there foot off the gas and Max Samyint scored from close range with a good finish at the back post to make it 0-5 with just an hour played.

Sandhurst to there credit did not give up, Gavin Branch scored a dubious penalty for the Fizzers and then he got his second from the near post to make it 2-5.

In the last minutes of the game Man of The Match Kelvin Keranja again caused the Sandhurst defence problems and the last man brought him down in the box and the Sandhurst defender saw Red, again KK dusted himself off and dispatched a very well struck penalty into the bottom corner to wrap up the game 2-6 and Lammas went home with all very well deserved 3 points.

A great result for the Lammas, Adam Bessent and his coaching team, however we can't celebrate this win to much as Monday we face local rivals Abbey Rangers away in the CCL Div One on Monday night, this will be a very hard match which we are all looking forward to.
