Staines Lammas FC are delighted to announce that Adam Bessent has agreed to join the club as First Team Manager.

The Staines Lammas Committee decided this evening that Adam was the right man for the job

Lammas Chairman Phil Ellery said "Adam was the outstanding choice for us, he impressed us immensely with his ideas and vision for the football club, he has a good team around him and he can't wait to get started with pre season and to meet the current squad of players".

Adam joins us from Walton & Hersham FC, where he spent 4 and a half years. In that time, he managed the Youth and Reserve Team, leading the Reserve team to a Suburban League title as well as the Suburban Champions Cup. After success with the Reserve side, Adam stepped up to First Team Assistant Manager midway through the 2012/2013 season and contributed to the club keeping their Step 4 status.

Before Walton & Hersham, Adam spent the best part of a decade at Ashford Town FC. Coaching in the Junior Section right through to Youth and Reserve Team Assistant Manager until he made the switch to Stompond Lane.

Adam is currently taking his UEFA B Licence and his current full time employment as a Senior Coach with Sports Focus in Schools Ltd provide him with strong links to the local council, schools and community.

On his appointment, Adam added “Staines Lammas have always been at the heart of the local non-league scene and I am honoured to take up the position of First Team Manager. After meeting the board it was instantly clear to me that our ambitions for the club are well matched. It is the start of a new era back where the club belongs at The Lucan Pavilion. I am looking forward to working with everyone at the club and leading a team that the Lammas can be proud of.

News of Adam’s management team will be announced in the next few days.
