Linnets Topple Daniels
Stamford lost 3-0 to Southern league premier division side Kings Lynn Town.
In an opening 15 minutes to the game neither keeper was really tested.
The first effort on target came on seventeen minutes when a Lynn forward fired a shot which Dan Haystead tipped away for a corner.
A minute later, Stamford were forced into an early change when Jamie Mcghee went off injured to be replaced by Karl Whymark.
The Daniels then had a chance but the shot was blocked by the Kings Lynn defence.
The first goal of the game came in the 36th minute when a shot from distance from Ryan Jarvis flew into the top corner of the goal. Stamford tried to respond almost immediately but good build up play saw the ball cleared for a corner.
At half time, Graham Drury made 3 more changes to the line up.
The second goal of the game came on 55 minutes when Kieran Shipp played in Jai Minors to fire the ball home.
The final goal came with fifteen minutes remaining with Ryan Harnwell firing a shot from outside the box into the top corner.
New signing Sam Hollis had a chance late on for the Daniels but the home side were well beaten by the higher grade opposition.
