On Saturday Market Drayton are coming to Lincolnshire to visit Borderville for the second game this season just a month after the first match.
Stamford are seeking revenge having been 2-0 up after twelve minutes last time but then at the final whistle losing 4-2. This was the start of Stamford’s poor run over the last five games having been beaten in this game as well as by Belper (1-0) and by Lincoln (3-1) picking up one win (2-1 against Bedworth) and a draw away to Northwich (0-0).
On the other hand the visitors come into the game in slightly better form having lost three and won two. Their wins was a 2-1 victory against Gresley and 3-2 win against Witton, but they have lost to Chasetown (5-1), Lincoln (2-0) and Rugby (3-2).
Market Drayton lie just one point behind the Daniels in the table having gained 32 points from 31 games, whereas the Daniels have accumulated 33 points from 28 matches. Stamford are in desperate need of some wins if they want to catch up with the mid-table bunch which have started gaining some distance over them.
In terms of goals this season Drayton have scored 43 and conceded 66 giving them a goal difference of -23, this hasn’t been helped with them conceding 13 in their last five, compared to Stamford who have scored 40 but conceded 50 giving them a goal difference of - 10.
