Stanford's harvest festival a MASSIVE success

Stanford Rugby Club prides themselves on being a community club. The values of being a friendly, welcoming club that offers not just good rugby but a place where we try and get involved in the community.

Thanks to the hard work of Sean Cochrane and Lorraine Maher who organised the Stanford RFC harvest festival collection, a old tradition that seems to have been lost over the years, the boys and girls of the mini/midi & youth sides donated lots of food to the local residents of Kynoch Court.

A small delegate of players along with Sean and Lorraine presented the food to some of the residents who gratefully accepted all the wonderful goodies. This kind of thing makes Stanford RFC stand out from other clubs and we should all be proud of the efforts that our club go to for the wider community.

The Harvest Festival collection fits extremely well with our 40th Anniversary celebrations as we look back over the years and forward to the future, which the young players coming together with the residents of Kynoch court epitomises.

Well done Sean and Lorraine and thank you to everyone that donated food.
