Stansted take the points in local derby

Sawbridgeworth Town FC 1 v 2 Stansted FC
Stansted earnt the bragging rights in this hard fought local derby match played at Crofters End.
A brace from Stansted’s Jack Sykes gave the visitors all three points in an entertaining match.
The match began with Sawbo taking an early lead through Lewis Francis after just 5 minutes and they had good chances to increase their lead but good saves from Stansted keeper Tim Pitman and some poor finishing from the home side kept the game in the balance.
The visitors also began to create chances to equalise and after 32 mins a pin point pass out wide from Nik Brown to Anthony Aylett whose turn and shot hit the post but the rebound found Jack Sykes who finished well.
The home side looked disappointed to go into the break all square as they had certainly created good chances with Gavin Cockman looking very dangerous.

The second period began with the visitors looking far more dangerous, obviously a slight change of tactics and a half time rollicking from the manager Paul Pittuck and his assistant Mark Healy.
The winning goal came on 71 mins when Sykes finished well again. Further excellent chances fell to Sykes and sub Jordan Carter, both having one on ones with the keeper but failing to find a decent finish after some good play from Reggie Yembra.
As the game entered the last ten minutes Sawbo pressed hard for an equaliser but Stansted central defence duo of Dave Limber and Dean Nevill were defending excellently.
Manager Paul Pittuck, after the game was absolutely delighted with the win and praised his players for the tremendous passion and effort they showed to take all three points.
