After a disappointing result in their previous game the home side saw the return of key players Arran Clark and Gary Rowntree for the visit of FC Romania but Stansted struggled early on against a very good and quick FC Romania team but rallied later in the game to earn a share of the points.
The visitors created some excellent early chances and it took a couple of excellent saves from home keeper Reece Paine to stop the home side going behind.
In the 22nd minute Romania defender Ivan Minhea was given a straight red card after lashing out at Stansted's Jake Buckland meaning they played the rest of the game a man down. Unfortunately the home side failed to take advantage of the extra man and the game was goalless at the interval.
The visitors took the lead on the hour when Nicolae Tudorie lashed in a right foot strike. Going one down seemed to lift the home side and with the introduction of striker Chris Slater they began to create a few openings. Slater had a one on one with the Romania keeper but failed to hit the target. It was in the 85th minute when they finally got their equaliser as George Clarke picked the ball up down the right flank and his excellent cross found Slater who fired the ball home.
The game with only minutes remaining could have gone either way as both teams pushed for a winner. But the points were shared.
