Poor Slip Up On Our Travels

Having worked hard over the last few weeks to obtain our highest league position of the season we gave it up with a whimper after arguably our worst showing of the season especially in the opening 45 minutes.
Poor availability for the game didn't help matters and losing Billy Turner & Dave Ratcliffe in the first half to injury compounded that even further.
18th positioned Greenhouse London FC were far more up for the game in the opening half and were smarter and brighter all over the pitch without looking particularly threatening until we gifted them 2 very soft goals .
From our own free kick just outside the hosts penalty area a poor delivery left us open to a counter attack. Outnumbered and outpaced a placed 20 yard effort found the corner.
Just before half time a right wing cross wasn't cleared and a forward really made us suffer by back healing the ball into the net via the post from 8 yards.

The second half could only be better form our point of view and it was as we forced the home side on the defensive for the most part of the half.
We created numerous openings but missed the target with most and not working the keeper enough.
Jack Ishwerwood's ten yard over head kick mid way through the half gave us a lifeline but we couldn't find a way through against the hosts who in fair defended with great resolve and determination.
We increasingly left ourselves open to the counter attack as we pressed for the equaliser and that occurred in injury time when a forward finished well from 12 yards.
