A Fun End to a Great Season

On Thursday May 11th the Under 7s and Under 8s both had their end of season presentation evenings at Tregorrick.

An excellent turn out ensured lots of fun was had by all with coaches from both teams reminding us how well both teams have done this season.

Their progress over the year has been fantastic with the Unders 7s showing great development in the basics of passing (backwards!) and tagging. Teamwork and supporting your teammates has been a key area for the Under 8s and over the last few weeks they have learnt contact basics as they prepare for next season.

Both sets of coaches acknowledged the awards could have gone to almost any player as they have all done so well. In the end the awards were as follows:

Under 8s

Most Improved Player: Max Chappell
Coaches Player of the Year: Jacob Spry

Under 7s

Most Improved Player(s): Connor and Aeden McDonnell
Coaches Player of the Year: George Healey

Massive thanks to the coaches and helpers of each team:
Trevor, Craig and Steve (U8s) and Charles, Rob, Carl and Stuart (U7s)

The progress the kids have made is a testiment to your hard work and dedication. The season couldn't have happened without you - it's greatly appreciated.

Thanks also to Lesley the manager of both teams for, basically, organising and making sure each week happened!

Thank you to those of you who helped with kit and team admin throughout the season too.

Quick appeal for anyone prepared to help with the Under 8s who will be next year's Under 9s. Lesley won't be able to manage that team as she will be staying with the Under 7s as they become Under 8s. So if you are prepared to help in anyway then please let us know. It doesn't have to be one person doing it all - many hands will make light work. Also, if you are interested in helping with coaching that team next season, get in touch.

Have a great Summer and see you all at the start of next season!
