This weekend sees both teams on the road, the first XV travel to league newcomers Wigan RUFC in the league and the second XV travel to Ambleside RUFC in the first round of the shield cup.

The first XV travel to Wigan in a clash that will closely contested with both sides holding records of 2 wins and 1 loss. Wigan have had some impressive results already this year despite losing to some peoples title favourites Blackburn on the opening day of the season. Plastic time out they won at Upper Eden which is always a tough place to go. Bennies won against Heaton Moor last time out and will be hoping to have a few players back this weekend to make the journey to Wigan as only 100% effort and commitment will give bennies any chance of bring back some points.

The second XV will travel to Ambleside in the new shield league cup and with Ambleside having home advantage they will be an extremely tough side. The Ravens will have to prepare well and be committed as this is a great chance to pick up some silverware for them this season.

Training is Tuesday and Thursday this week as normal 6pm start. We need all numbers at training to work on patterns and set pieces so let's make the effort to get down.

Teams will be named on Thursday night.
