Our Y7 team ended their first season together with a tough game against St Peter's in the Wigan & Leigh Champion School semi-final. Down to a bare 13 players due to absences, injuries and a few dubious excuses, we were always going to be second best against a very strong Peters team, but our boys never gave up and can be very proud of their achievements in their first season together.
They have played 14 matches since the opening tournament in September, winning 9 and losing 5. It is important that the whole squad pulls together next season to ensure further progress and improvement.
Thank you to all the squad for your efforts, especially those who played in the tough games towards the end of the season. Thanks also to our loyal band of parents and supporters for backing us home and away. Your support is greatly appreciated by players and staff. See you all next season!
