A promising start to the Kwik Cricket season for Stenny juniors
At a sun drenched West of Scotland CC on Sunday 6th, Stenhousemuir CC Juniors played in their first festival since joining the WDJCU. All the players, coaches and parents were very impressed with the surroundings and the warm welcome from the organisers.
Well led by first time skipper Harry Bang, all the team - Joseph Scobbie, Scott & Craig Differ, Freddie Bang and Cameron Joyce - played some good cricket.
We played 3 games winning 1 and losing 2. We beat Uddingston and lost to Ferguslie and a combined East Kilbride/Hillhead team.
Champagne moment: Cameron Joyce stopping a full power drive square on the chest on the mid wicket boundary - what commitment!
