YEARS 5&6 TAG FESTIVAL
WEDNESDAY 5th NOVEMBER 2014

ITINERARY – INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS TEACHERS AND PARENTS

9am
Club opens – teams free to arrive from this point
Please enter from the side gate – the barrier will be open. There will be a marshall on the gate directing mini buses and cars down the track to the turning point. Please drop off and return later if possible to avoid congestion. If you are staying, please park courteously on both sides of the track – once we are full we are full!

9:30am
Volunteers briefing
– pitches set up
A first aider will be on site stationed near the portacabin. The cub bar will be open for toilets – hot drinks will be served at a small charge from the kitchen. No rugby boots allowed in the club house please.

10am
Teachers / chaperones briefing

Reminder of the rules of the festival; run down of the pool arrangements and the knockout stages.

10:30am
Let the games begin!

Simultaneous pool games on either 6 or 8 pitches – 5 minutes each way with each game played within a 15 minute time slot on the hour, quarter, half and thee quarter hour marks. Teams will have a gap of a game or two before playing again but each team will play against every other team in their pool.

12:30pm Last pool games and break for lunch – hot drinks still served in the club.

1:15pm …or maybe a trifle later; semi finals in the cup plate and shield competitions
Yes, everyone gets to pay at least another game in the knockout stage! Finals will follow shortly afterwards.

2.45pm
Presentation of trophies and certificates.

REMEMBER THE CODE OF RUGBY ….. !
PLAY TO WIN, BUT NOT AT ALL COSTS … AND HAVE FUN!
