.On Saturday the first-team and reserves travelled to Selsey for another 'double-header' .

This pre-season friendly and for the first-team against opponents they will be lining up against in the new Division One this season
With nine senior players missing for various reasons, under-21 players Mike Waller, Myles Hull Flowers, Karim Bukleb and 'keeper Kai Sampford were introduced and performed to a very good standard, demonstrating we have class players coming through.
The first-half of the first team match was a rather disjointed affair and the team struggled with the new style/formation system going in for the break a goal down - a rather sloppy goal though well taken by the Blues winger.
However, after a very productive half-time team talk the boys reacted superbly to dominate the second-half, reducing the hosts to the odd half chance. Goals from Rob Clark and Sam Pargeter gave us a well deserved lead. Unfortunately though, we did not hang onto the lead. A tired mix-up at the back let in the Blues centre-forward to lob into an empty net.
Overall though a good performance where the lads continued to buy into the change of style system and formation. Result - Selsey 2 Town 2
In the Reserve match and using the same style/formation system as the firsts, the 'rezzies' looked dominant for the first 15 minutes but went behind to a soft goal. Shortly after we lost Under-21 captain Jordy Walser with a knee injury who was replaced by Jack Lee.
After trailing though we continued to dominate and eventually got our reward 'big style'! Two goals from Khalid Bilal, and one each for Zeki Idris, Adam Woodland and Adam Selma saw us run out deserved and dominant winners. Result - Selsey Res 2 Town Res 5
On the whole a very pleasing day, good performances from both sides and credit to the players for really buying into the changes the club is going through regards style and formation system.
Excellent day and thanks to Selsey FC for hosting us.
