National programme success for Town

2 months ago By John McKiernan

Town's 2017-18 matchday programme 'Talk of the Town' has seen success in this year's Soccer Club Swap Shop Programme awards.

For the eighth year running the club's programme has been voted best in the North West Counties Football League in the highly regarded national awards.

'Talk of the Town' made it into the top ten nationally (overall 5th place) in the non-league category for the seventh successive season from over 600 entries.

John McKiernan said, 'We take a huge amount of pride in our match day programme and Jeff Voller, Glyn Jones, Kieran Ford, Ste Lingard and Gill Ellison and all the contributors should be proud of their efforts and this continued recognition.

He added, 'A good programme is part of the overall match day experience as well as being a great vehicle for sponsors and advertisers.

'It's been a good season around the league with a number of clubs making huge strides in their printed programmes and an increase in on-line versions so competition has been tough.

'We must also thank Cheryl and Barry at Willow Printing who have given us excellent service throughout the season, working to some tight deadlines while producing an excellent final product.'

All our digital programmes from season this season are available on the club's website and these have been viewed over 16000 times.

Congratulations also to NWCFL Premier Divsion club Runcorn Town (29th) and Evo-stik League neighbours Prescot Cables (23rd) who made the top thirty.
