They started very brightly making all the play and setting up some excellent goal scoring opportunities. One of which was taken well when Team Captain Anthony Anstead slotted in on 19 mins. It looked like it was going to be a slow but sure victory at that point.
After that I cannot give you a personal report as we spent the next two and a half hours in North Middlesex Hospital after defender Adem Salih fell awkwardly and badly dislocated his thumb - see pic where things were obviously not in the right place!
But reports back were that opportunities were being missed, and Haringey & Waltham Development drew level on 57 mins and then in extra time, took the lead in the 111th minute!... So while you have to give credit to Haringey W&D, the Bury Boys fought back with a well-taken goal from super sub Stevie Tutalamo on the 115th minute!
The replay takes place at SMFC on Tues 4th Sept - 7:45pm K.O.
Please come along and support your club team.
One of the Haringey & Waltham Development players also suffered and bad dislocation of the elbow we believe, so we wish both players well, and a speedy recovery... Adem now about to depart for a Greek Island short holiday break.
