The new extension at the North West side of the clubhouse, The Irving Room, will be officially opened at 20:00 on Wednesday 29th March, the anniversary of Bob's birthday. Bob's relatives have been invited to the opening, which will be informal and conducted with a minimum of ceremony.
As some of you may know, the room was built as a stipulation in Bob's will, as the building costs were part of Bob's estate left to the club. The Irving Room is named in the memory of Bob and his wife Christine, who was a major influence in deciding the recipients of their estate.
All club members are invited to attend, and more publicity will ensue in the following weeks regarding the club's new acquisition.
