Scintillating Stockport take the spoils
Stockport boys put on classic display of back play
Stockport's Red squad faced Cheshire rivals Lymm in the first game of the day at Headlands Road with an early kick off of 9-45 am. The Lymm boys always give a good account of themselves in games versus Stockport but today with such an early start it was clear a few of the Lymm boys were on a sleepover last night ( sleepovers are surely the biggest bane of coaches life ) as they uncharacteristically missed a host of first up tackles allowing the Stockport boys to move the ball wide at will.
With the sun on their backs on a perfect day for handling the Stockport backs looked unstoppable as they moved the ball wide time and again with the in form Miles Cooke in particular proving a real handful for the visitors.
Huge thanks to Mike and the boys for coming over and for supplying the young referee who had an outstanding game.
