Cheshire Senior Cup Draw Details

Stockport Sports have been handed a tough draw in the Cheshire Senior Cup, away at Chester FC, although they will take heart from last seasons memorable victory at Tranmere Rovers in the same competition. While it will be a difficult task for The Saxons to progress, the clubs Director of Operations Wayne Ashworth was pleased with the draw

“Obviously it's going to be a very tough game” said Ashworth “But Tranmere away was as tough a tie as we could have been given last season and against all odds we went there and came away with the win. If we go there with the right attitude and we perform on the day then who knows what might happen. We've a lot of hungry, talented young players here and if they have any ambition to progress in the game then this is the sort of tie that they will need to perform in”

No date has been set for the tie as of yet, as soon as this information is received it will be published on the official club website.
