Hamid Proving A Quality Addition To The Saxons
Stockport Sports assistant manager Joey Dunn has hailed Kyle Hamid following the mid-fielders impressive start to life at the club.
Hamid joined The Saxons ahead of their 7-0 victory over Norton United in late September and has emerged as a key figure since then.
“I've worked with Kyle previously, and I made it a priority to bring him to the club when I arrived here” said Dunn. “Peter (Withe) knew about him already and was more than happy to bring him in. Since his arrival he has proved what a good player he is, and I know that there is still more to come from him”
Hamid scored his first goal for the club in the recent home game against Colne, a stunning 25 yard free-kick, and his slick passing and vision often disguise the tigerish displays in central midfield that he is capable of.
“Kyle is exactly the type of player we need at this club” added Dunn. “He enjoys the game, he can run with the ball, he can pass, he's good at set-pieces and he's not afraid of the physical side of the game. I also know that he's capable of scoring more goals, hopefully we'll see that from him in the next few weeks”
“When I arrived at the club I sat down with Peter and we spent time discussing potential transfer targets and what we looked for in a player. We both agreed about the type of players we wanted to bring to the club. Along with Mike Tomlinson and Lee Madin, Kyle was at the top of my list. I worked with them all previously and I'm delighted to be able to work with all three of them again here at Stockport Sports”
