Long Term Agreement Reached @ Home Ground

Long Term Agreement Reached @ Home Ground

It is with great pleasure that Stockport Sports Village can confirm the long term stay of Stockport Sports Football Club.

In recent times the club has had to deal with ground grading issues that have affected the club and promotion aspirations, The new multi million pound facility which is seen by many as the best Football facility available in the area, will now be the clubs home ground for the long term.

A retractable players tunnel and required fencing are the two major works that will be undertaken to lift the ground and facility to the next level for all users.

Michaela Pennington General Manager of Stockport Sports Village said it was great to have a local club commit its long term future to the facility.

Chairman John Hindley said he was delighted to know that Stockport Sports Village was going to be the home of the Saxons for the long term. Including Games for the first and development squad.

The facility is the best around, the hospitality suite is better than what most league clubs have and that is a credit to the landlords and operators of the facility. We can really see that another of our long term goals has been ticked with the partnership at Stockport Village.

Supporters and partners can get behind the club with a sound knowledge that we are based in the same place for the long term.
