We travel to Wallasey to face 2015/16 and 16/17 winners Ashville. That 15/16 title was of course picked up with a 1-0 win over us on a chilly April night at Vauxhall Motors (pictured), and they again showed their strength retaining the title last season with a 2-0 win over Neston Nomads.

That cup win was just one of a host of trophies Ashville won last season, and we are under no illusions how tough a proposition the trip to Villa Park is.

The clubs have now been drawn together 3 times in 5 seasons, the previous time being our semi final at Runcorn Town back in 2014 where Adam Gardiner's penalty saw us through 1-0 and into that year's final.

Our dismantling of Monton last time out, plus the return to form and fitness of key men sends us into the tie in good spirits, but our hosts have flown out of the blocks this season and sit well positioned in 3rd place in the West Cheshire league and will be looking to keep alive their dreams of a 3rd successive Cheshire Cup title.

It has all the makings of a cracker, with the winners travelling to face Cheadle Heath Nomads in the last 8.
