Michael really sorry to hear of your injury, you will be missed by the Stocktonians that's for sure, good luck mate and wishing you a speedy and successful recovery...
Real sorry to hear that about Mike, he was doing really well and had a great attitude, hope its a speedy recovery Mike dont be a stranger.
Thanks lads. It's early days yet but I hope I'll be able to get back playing again. I'll just have to enjoy being a spectator for a while. I'm a great player when I'm stood watching.
Apart from result at Murrayfield on Saturday, this is the worst rugby news I have heard all season. I lost touch with Michael for many years, but I was delighted to renew acquaintances with him through the Stocktonians. Having survived the trauma of a childhood of sessions in the Club with his dad, he has matured into someone I look forward to taking the field with and sharing his company over a few beers on a Saturday. You must be very proud Jim, not only at his character but also his playing ability although God knows where he inherited that from. We are very lucky to have the opportunity to play with our sons. Lets hope for a speedy recovery so that he can go on to realise the potential and contribution he offers the Club. Keep smiling Mike.
Thanks Mike. I've fancied coming back for a long time but started to think it wouldn't happen, especially as 40 started looming larger on the horizon. Anyway I took the plunge and I've thoroughly enjoyed it so far. It's been an added privilege to share the field with some of the blokes I used to watch as a kid; It reminds me how young I am :-)
I agree with everything you say Mick, yes I am very proud of Michael and all the things he has acheived. Thanks go to all who have and may comment on Mikes injury I know he will miss his rugby.
